LCLUC is an interdisciplinary science program in the Earth Science Division of the Science Mission Directorate. LCLUC is part of the Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems Focus Area with links to some programs in other Focus Areas.
Land use and land cover have been one of the first and main products from remote sensing data. The EARSeL Special Interest Group on Land Use and Land Cover (SIG LULC) aims to bundle methodological and application-oriented research activities in this thematic field.
As part of Copernicus User Uptake activities, the European Commission has launched the Copernicus Academy. The Copernicus Academy connects European universities, research institutions, business schools in order to facilitate collaborative research, develop lectures, training sessions, etc.
